A YEAR BY YEAR HIGH SCHOOL TIMELINE

This timeline will give them detailed instructions on goals to set and accomplish and time frames to get those things done.

  • FRESHMAN YEAR sets the stage for the rest of your high school and even college career. Grades are of utmost importance this year, and finding activities both in and out of school is crucial for the resume. Be aware of what courses are available, and look for leadership opportunities and ways to get involved at school.

  • SOPHOMORE YEAR is not as nerve-wracking as your freshman year where everything is new. Instead, being a sophomore means knowing enough to start your focus on college and/or your career path after high school. Being a sophomore means taking things a little more seriously while being more comfortable in your surroundings.

  • JUNIOR YEAR is a busy time defining who you are and what you want to do. It is a busy time and staying on track is critical.

  • SENIOR YEAR in high school is the busiest time, but it’s definitely a time you should enjoy. This timeline will help keep you on track and ensure nothing falls through the cracks.
